To the victors come the spoils. The MIfflin County girls basketball team advances to the championship Friday afternoon at the Williamsburg Tournament.
The Lady Huskies exploded for a 34-point victory over Glendale Thursday 54-20.
Mackenzie Peachey and Jalee Bodtorf both led the Huskies’ attack, finishing with 12 points each.
Maelyn Gingrich followed her teammates with an 11-point effort.
“ Our girls were very active from the tip tonight, and took care of business,” said Mifflin County coach Aaron Gingrich. “We’re looking forward to the championship game tomorrow night against a very talented Williamsburg team.”
It was over after the first half as the Huskies exploded to take a 32-14 advantage.
Defensively, the Huskies tightened even more, giving up only six points en route to the MIfflin County victory.
