The MIfflin County softball team battled but lost to Central Dauphin in a road contest Tuesday 5-3.

Offensively, Jalee Bodtorf and Arika Henry both finished with two hits in the contest for MIfflin County.

Dakota Hershberger, Riley Hine and Sophie McCurdy all scored for the “Purple and Black”

The Rams opened up and plated a 5-0 advantage before the Huskies would start their rally.

Mifflin County’s come back from down five runs in the second inning came up just short.

The Huskies scored three runs in the comeback attempt making the most of  an error, a groundout by Alexis O’Brien, and a single by Jalee Bodtorf.

But the loss will be short lived as the Huskies are back in action Wednesday, hosting State College.
