Mifflin County Boys’ Cross Country split the day with two wins and two losses Thursday afternoon in Reedsville. MC defeated Newport 15-50 and Susquenita 17-46 while falling to Juniata 17-38 and Williamsport 21-36.
Juniata’s Logan Strawser was first in 15:55. CJ Coffey’s 6th (17:33) led the Huskies with Caden Bell 10th (17:56), Styers Oden 12th (18:06), Reese Cubbison 16th (18:41), Hart Oden 17th (18:47), Cody Fultz 18th (18:55), Luke Breneman 19th (19:02), Maxwell Laudermilch 23rd (19:40), Cameron Barben 26th (20:15), and Nathan Goss 45th (25:00)
“This was our first chance to compete at home for a month. It’s exciting to see the progression of their race times since the beginning of September. This is the first year of cross country for Cameron and Nathan. They both dropped over three minutes off their BVI results,” said MIfflin County coach Gregory Loht. The returning runners are making steady improvement as the season continues.
We host the Distict Six Championships next Saturday and look forward to racing even faster.”
