MC boys round up from this weeks action

The Huskies competed in the Justin Henry Scholarship Trust Tournament on Wednesday and Thursday, and went 0-2 on the week.
The boys opened the tournament losing to Steelton-Highspire 50-49. The boys were led by junior guard Tagg Silfies, who scored a team-high 16 points, including 14 in the second half. The Huskies had a chance to tie it at the end of the game, but couldn’t convert from the foul line.
In the 3rd place game, the Huskies fell to Manheim Central 64-43. The Huskies were in the game the entire way, and was a one-possession game in the 3rd quarter, but Manheim Central was able to pull away and get the win. The Huskies were led by junior forward Aidan Reed’s 14 points and 15 rebounds.
The JV Huskies went 1-1 in the tournament. The defeated Steelton-Highspire 56-39, and were led by sophomore Aidan Attivo’s 24 points.
The JV team would fall to Manheim Central 64-50. The team was led by freshman Landon Haigh, who scored 24 of his own in the loss.
The boys are back in action on Tuesday, January 3rd when they welcome Lower Dauphin into the Dawg Pound.
