MC boys fall on road at Shippensburg
Aug 28, 2025

At Shippensburg on Thursday, the MIfflin County Huskies boys soccer team fell to Shippensburg in Mid-Penn action.

Shippensburg found their center back Hundt, not tightly marked, on a corner to go up around 4 minutes into the match.

“We didn’t get down on ourselves. We then settled in and started to play our game,” said Mifflin County Boys Soccer Assistant Coach Todd R. Peters. “The big thing we lacked though was runs and creativity by our forwards.

The Huskies would not allow another goal in the half, trailing only 1-0.

“Going into halftime 1-0 vs a team like Ship we felt like we had a chance to create and get back in it,” said Peters. “An unfortunate rebound score put them up 2-0 and then we got away from our game. We got tired and turned the ball over which our guys know we should play smarter during these moments. We will work on our runs, delivery, and creativity to improve going forward.”

Shippensburg added three to take a 5-0 loss.

Shippensburg outshot MIfflin County 12-1 and in corners 8-0.

MC goalie Jack Suydam finished with seven saves.

In JV action Shippensburg won 4-0.
