MC Athletes given their time to shine at Annual Awards Ceremony

LEWISTOWN – Tonight Was The 2023 MC Awards Ceremony At The Mifflin County High School Auditorium.

The Night Started with The Fall Sports awards Senior Ella Kammerer Picked up two awards Being named Senior Athlete,Senior Scholar Athlete. Kirsten Milliron was awarded Husky Hustle Sadie fike took home Husky Athlete. Morgan Diven Racked up the awards tonight being awarded Husky Pride in Soccer while also being awarded Senior athlete in bowling as well as senior scholar Athlete and Senior scholar in softball.

The remainder of the awards for softball will be named at a later date. It was a great day for the Hines as both brother and sister picked up awards. Riley Hine was named Husky Hustle in Volleyball while Ryan Hine picked up awards being named Husky Scholar Senior Athlete In golf and Baseball. Hine also was awarded Best Senior Athlete also placed second in the Running for The Buck Riden/JIm Hockenbrock award .Husky Basketball Star Marissa Gingrich was rewarded for her Outstanding Season earning  the Husky Athlete award. Gingrich also won the Jenna Feathers Award. Running second was Aija Binder. Binder also won the Husky Senior Athlete. Amelia Leister Finished runner up. Gingrich also Also Set an all time record 1,573 points 2nd AllState.

The Ron Sprecher Award went to Conrad Coffey. Caden Bell Would finish as runner up while Cody Fultz would follow follow behind Bell.

Coffey also was a state qualifier. Coffey was awarded Senior Athlete in both Indoor track and Outdoor track and field.

Fellow Teammate Jayden King was named Husky Athlete also both in Indoor and Outdoor Track.

King also Qualified For States In Triple Jump.

Josiah Sechler Was awarded Best Senior Athlete.

Returning state champion, Sechler qualified for states in the Javelin.  Myka Simmons took home the Husky Hustle as he  Punched his ticket to states In the 200-Meter Run. Simmons will run On Friday and Saturday. Bryson Bubb picked up awards for baseball with a Husky Pride Honor. Xavier Smith Was named The Buck Riden-JIm Hockenbrock Winner.

Monica Drukenmiller was named The Tish Maclay Award winner for field hockey.  The girls Adeline Leason won The Ron Sprecher award while Hunter Johnson picked up The Rod Tate award.  Parker Kearns was runner-up while Avery Aurand followed close behind. Tagg Silfies was named this year’s Harry Rothrock/DIck Webber Award winner Evan Strohecker finished as runner up. Jayden BIlger followed behind Strohecker.

Deakon Shaeffer was named The Big Lewie Alex Ufema award winner.

In Bocce Ball,  Marley Cole Was awarded Senior Athlete, Jocelynne Clark was awarded Husky Athlete while Keavon Hampton picked up The Husky Hustle award. Malia Scyoc was named Husky pride winner. Clark racked up her second award being named Senior Scholar athlete. Star pitcher Madison Wolfgang was named The Jaynee Carolus Award winner.

Hailee Sheetz was named the All- Time scoring  leader in field hockey scoring 71 goals. It was a great season congratulations To all the Student athletes For a wonderful season.
