The Huskies won another nail biter this time at home 18-16. The Huskies jumped out to an early 6-0 lead after some nice runs by Zyhair Hill got them to the goal line. Asher Pearce was able to QB sneak it in for the Huskies 1st score. Waynesboro was able to punch one in and make it 8-6. The Huskies offense was big again with more big runs from Hill and Pearce leading the Huskies ground game all night. Pearce this time was able to weave his way and break off a 30 yard touchdown run to put the Huskies back on top. The Huskie defense played tough all night led by Zander Lawson, Eli Henderson, Bo Benny, and Jacob Goss with multiple tackles for losses. Waynesboro’s offense was able to put together a long drive and score to go back on top 16-12. With 2 Minutes left again the Huskies offense found themselves with a chance to pull off another last second win 2 weeks in a row. The Huskies hit a swing pass to Liam Shaffer who broke it for a big first down to get the drive started. The Huskies then got a huge catch and run for 50 yards from Hill rumbling down the sideline shaking off multiple defenders to get the Huskies offense in great field position and really energize the Huskies sideline and crowd. After stalling out on the next 3 plays the Huskies offense was able to find a way on 4th and 10 with a pass from Pearce to Adrian Griffin who was able to carry the entire defense on his back down to the 1 yard line. With 20 seconds left in the game Pearce was able to QB sneak it into the endzone for the win 18-16.
