Jayden Smith took one for the team as he was plunked on an Atlantic Shore offering, loading the bases.

Gerwick cleared the bases as he blasted a double on a laser shot to right, putting MC up quickly 3-0.

In the fourth, Mifflin County added to their lead.

With one out, Kyle Shupp hustled out an Atlantic miscue.

Shupp later scored on a sizzling single by Traxler, upping the lead to 4-0. Traxler showed his speed as he stole second and then moved to third on a fielders choice.

Cherry notches the RBI fielders’ choice allowing Traxler to score.

Mifflin County was t quite done yet as they added an insurance run in the sixth.

Yetter blasted a line drive past shortstop getting the inning underway. He stole second and then moved and later scored on a miscue by Atlantic Shore, putting runners on first and third.

That would all Gerwick and his defense would need, moving onto the 6-0 victory and carrying a 2-0 record into Day 3.
