2022 Preseason Coaches’ Poll: Men’s Cross Country

SU returns 11 runners from the 2021 season

The Shippensburg University men’s cross country team was voted second and received a first-place vote in the 2022 Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) Preseason Coaches’ Poll released Tuesday afternoon by the conference office.

The preseason coaches’ poll is selected by the PSAC’s coaches and was announced through the league’s social media channels. Coaches are not allowed to vote for their own team in the poll.

Shippensburg returns 11 runners from the 2021 roster, including NCAA Division II National Championships qualifiers Chayce Macknair and Hayden Hunt. The Raiders return five All-PSAC runners from last season; Macknair is the defending PSAC individual champion.

Shippensburg opens its 2021 season at 8 p.m. on Friday, September 2 when it conducts the Galen Piper Alumni Open/Cross Country Challenge at the campus recreation fields.
