Logan Gibson collected three hits in three at bats, as Bellefonte (JV) defeated Penns Valley Area Junior Varsity Rams 15-0 on Tuesday. Gibson singled in the first inning, singled in the second inning, and singled in the fourth inning.

Bellefonte (JV) opened the scoring in the bottom of the first thanks to two singles. Bellefonte (JV) first got on the board when Triston Heeman singled, scoring two runs.

Bellefonte (JV) scored five runs on four hits in the bottom of the second inning. Cole Houser singled, scoring one run, Heeman singled, scoring two runs, Gibson singled, scoring one run, and Joseph Gearhart grounded out, scoring one run.

Bellefonte (JV) added one run in the third. Henry St. Amant grounded out, making the score 9-0.

Bellefonte (JV) scored six runs on seven hits in the bottom of the fourth inning. Andrew Gall singled, scoring two runs, Kolten Ammerman singled, scoring one run, Kaden Nye induced St. Amant to hit into a fielder’s choice, but one run scored, Connor Auman singled, scoring one run, and Brogen Waite drew a walk, scoring one run.

Heeman stepped on the bump first for Bellefonte (JV). The pitcher allowed one hit and zero runs over three innings, striking out seven and walking one. Aaron Wolfe opened the game for Penns Valley Area Junior Varsity Rams. The righty gave up seven hits and nine runs (five earned) over three innings, striking out one and walking four. Austin Houser pitched one inning of zero-run ball for Bellefonte (JV) in relief. The pitcher allowed zero hits, striking out one and walking one.

Bellefonte (JV) tallied 14 hits in the game. Heeman provided pop in the middle of the lineup, and led Bellefonte (JV) with three runs batted in. The pitcher went 2-for-2 on the day. Gavin Lucas and Gall each collected multiple hits for Bellefonte (JV). Houser led Bellefonte (JV) with two walks. Overall, the team had a strong eye at the plate, piling up six walks for the game. Houser stole three bases. Bellefonte (JV) stole seven bases in the game.

Mason Brodzina went 1-for-2 at the plate to lead Penns Valley Area Junior Varsity Rams in hits.
