Lady Indians top Huskies in Saturday girls soccer action

In the battle of MIfflin County versus Juniata County, the Juniata Lady Indians soccer team went head-to-head with Mifflin County.

Saturday the Indians would pick up the win over the Huskies, 4-0.

Raegan Lowrey notched two goals for Juniata in the win. Teammates Sara Montoya and Carolyn Heidenreich both had second half goals en route to the victory.

In the first, Lowrey (scored first after a pass from Myles Landis, at 14:33.

At 26:59, Lowrey scored her second goal off of a pass by Thea Beward, making it a 2-0 going into the intermission.

Sara Montoya finished the first goal in the second at 40:19.

Rounding out the scoring for Juniata was Carolyn Heidenreich at 51:45.

The Lady Indians outshot the Huskies 16-2 while they held the advantages in corners opportunity by a 4-1 margin.

Juniata goalie Raegan Burd finished with two saves.

MC goalie Liberty Cook had 13.
