Opening the week in grand style. The Bald Eagle Area’s girls soccer team shut out West Branch Monday 3-0.
BEA’s Sydney Thompson got the scoring started as she picked up an assist by Addisyn Burns at 29:07
Next up to put their name in the scoring column was Adrienne Hacker. Hacker posted an unassisted goal at 32:09.

“I thought we came out a little flat and weren’t playing our game in the first half, but the girls came out strong in the second half and played much better possession,” said Bald Eagle Area’s coach Jared Moore. “It is always challenging to play in the rain and I thought despite the conditions, the girls finished very strong. Quite a few people got involved in the scoring tonight with 3 different girls getting goals. The defense was very strong and gave very few scoring opportunities to West Branch.”
The Eagles led in corners by a 3-1 margin. In the shots on goal department, Bald Eagle held a 13-2 advantage.
Bald Eagle goalie Makayla Spicer finished with two saves.
With the win Bald Eagle Area’s improved to 9-2-1.
