The 18U AA Keystone Wild hockey team, part of the State College Youth Ice Hockey Association —also home to the State College Icers—secured a championship win at the Western PA State Tournament on Sunday, March 9th. With this victory, they now advance to the USA Hockey Tier II National Tournament in Utica, NY, set for April 2nd-6th. Under the leadership of head coach Matt Erlichman, the team was formed in September 2024 and has been striving toward Nationals ever since. Despite many players not having played together before this season, they’ve built a strong bond on and off the ice.
