Kahale Burns With 3 Hits As Bald Eagle Area Eagles Beat

Kahale Burns collected three hits in four at bats, as the Bald Eagle Area Eagles defeated DuBois 13-3 on Saturday. Burns hit a home run to left field in the second inning, tripled in the fourth inning, and singled in the fifth inning.

The Eagles got on the board in the first inning after Tayten Yoder homered to left field, scoring two runs.

Bald Eagle added four more runs in the bottom of the second inning on five hits. Burns homered to left field, scoring three runs, and Yoder singled, scoring one run.

Ricky Clark hit a solo home run to center field in the top of the fifth for the Beavers.

Bald Eagle Area Varsity Eagles scored six runs on five hits in the bottom of the fifth inning.

Tycen Roy induced Gavin Burns to hit into a fielder’s choice, but two runs scored, Carson Nagle singled, scoring one run, an error scored two runs, and Kaden Burns doubled, scoring one run.

Yoder earned the win for Bald Eagle Area. The starting pitcher gave up five hits and three runs over five innings, striking out nine and walking one. Tyler Chamberlin started on the bump for DuBois. The starting pitcher surrendered six hits and six runs over two innings, striking out three and walking two.

The Eagles accumulated 14 hits in the game. Connor Perry and Nagle each collected multiple hits for Bald Eagle Area . The Eagles were sure-handed and didn’t commit a single error. Burns made the most plays with nine.

Talon Hodge, Chamberlin, Clark, Trey Wingard, and Danny Dixon each collected one hit for the Beavers. Hodge, Chamberlin, and Clark each drove in one run for DuBois Varsity Beavers.

Bald Eagle Area Varsity Eagles play at home on Monday against Philipsburg-Osceola in their next game.
