Juniata wrestlers notch hard fought win over Line Mountain

The Juniata wrestling team took to the road to battle Line Mountain Wednesday in a TVAA battle.

In the end, the Indians muscled out a 36-30.

The Juniata matmen won seven matches.

Starting at 160, Juniata’s Wesley Woodward notched a win in a forfeit.

At 172, Harrison Mummah won the Indians second match as he picked up the 7-2 decision over Isaac Shaffer.

Juniata picked up its second forfeit of the night at 215. Kelton Bonnell picked up the easy win.

Points continued to Mount for Juniata at 107 when Anthony Maradiaga also picked up a forfeit win.

At 121, Amelia Smith followed in her teammates footsteps notching a forfeit win.

Finally at 127, Ryder Smith pinned Chris Walker at 0:35.

Rounding out the wins for the Indians was 133-pounder Casey Smith as he notched an 8-3 decision over Nolan Baumert.
