Juniata track has impressive start in home opener

MIFFLINTOWN- Both Juniata boys and girls took the win at their track and field home opener!

The boys won 85-64 while the girls took home the 115-23 win

Jasper Shepps won the 110 hurdles while Arthur Hazard took first in triple jump and third in long jump.

Connor Boreman took second in long jump and third in the high jump.

Wyatt Erhnzeller won the javelin , and Caden Swailes took second in javelin and high jump .

On the distance side , the boys swept the 3200 with Wyatt Stroup take top honors followed by Joey Bomberger while teammate Joel Hardin finished the sweep with a third place finish.

On the girls side, new comers Londyn Bowsman won the 100 followed by teammate Aubryn Deihl taking second ! Grace Wagner took first in pole vault and javelin. Girls also swept the long jump with Olivia Mummah place first, Miley Hack securing second while Madison Copeland took home a third . Emerson Freed won the 300 hurdles.

“It was a great first meet with a lot of underclassmen shining,” said Juniata coach Maisie Aumiller

Next week Juniata travels to Susquanita Wednesday .
