Juniata track competes strong but falls to Millersburg

Thursday, both the Juniata boys and girls lost to Millersburg in track action.

The boys fell by a score 65.33-84.66

while the girls fell, 62-87.

 “It was a great night for the boys distance runners . The boys swept both the 1600 and the 800 taking one , two, and three  in both events. In the 800,  Mason Beward took first ,” said Juniata coach Maisie Aumiller. “Joey Bomberger second and Wyatt Stroup third.”

In the 1600-meter run Wyatt Stroup took first, Joey Bomberger took second and Beward took third. Bomberger also won the 3200-meter run followed by Wyatt taking second .

Jasper Shepps won both hurdles and had another personal best in the 300 hurdles . Rounding out things for the boys was Wyatt Ehrenzeller as he won in the javelin.

On the girls side, Jessie Bomberger won the 800-meter run, the 1600-meter run, and the 3200-meter run. Autumn Graybill won the long jump . “We took one , two , three in the pole vault,” said Aumiller. “Grace Wagner won pole vault with a person best of 7-6 , Ava Stoner took second , and Ester Montesios took third.”
