SPRING MILLS –  The Juniata girls basketball team evened it’s record to 1-1 at the Rams Winter Jam Tournament Thursday, defeating Bellefonte 47-41.

Offensively, the Lady Indians were led by Ava Shearer’s 20 points.

Following Shearer’s performance was Regan Lowrey with 12.

With the win, Juniata improves to 5-3  and 3-0 in TVAA action.

Next up for Juniata is a trip to rival East Juniata on Thursday January 5th 6:00 PM.

Bellefonte Double Digit Scorer was

Maria Cotter with 14.

“We continue to make positive progress in practice and it showed up in tonight’s game. The team showed great effort on the defensive end and was able to make shots on offense,” said Bellefonte coach Marcus Toomer. “We are building towards consistency and we like what we are seeing.”

Bellefonte is back at home Monday versus Hollidaysburg.
