In their first meeting of the season, the Juniata softball team met up with rival East Juniata in softball action.

The Lady Tigers scored more runs on the strong Indian squad but not enough to get the victory, falling 10-2.

Juniata hurler Liz Gaisior allowed only two runs while striking out 15 in the contest. She allowed seven hits on the afternoon and walked three batters.

Offensively, the Indians were led by
