Juniata got back into the win column in Monday afternoon baseball action. The Indians fell behind early but gutted out a 3-1 victory over Saint Joseph’s Academy.
Picking up the win for the “Red and Blue” was hurler Carson Kepner in his debut.
Kepner came in in the fifth with the game tied at one and refused to allow any more WolfPack scoring. He allowed one hit and struck out five en route to the victory.
Luke Duckworth got the Wolves on the scoreboard first, blasting a solo shot.
From there, the Indians were able to post a run in the third and two insurance runs in the sixth to lock up the victory.
