Juniata Varsity lost to Halifax 6-3 on Friday.
Halifax opened the scoring in the first after Zahurak singled, scoring one run.
A double by Steinhourer extended the Halifax lead to 3-0 in the bottom of the second inning.
Halifax added one run in the third after Juniata Varsity Indians committed an error.
Bryce Harlon pitched three innings in relief for the Indians. The hurler allowed one hit and zero runs while, striking out three and walking none. Daylyn Kennedy took the loss for Juniata. The starter went two innings, giving up four runs (three earned) on five hits, striking out two and walking two.
Calvin Decker, Carson Kepner, Kennedy, Drew Geedey, Harlon, and Fabian Plesce each collected one hit for the Indians. Decker, Kepner, and Gage Harlon each drove in one run for Juniata. The Indians turned one double play in the game.
Next up for Juniata is a game against Upper Dauphin Area on Tuesday.
