Juniata goes 1-1 in first two matches of the Juniata duals

MIFFLINTOWN – In their first two matches in the Juniata Duals the Juniata wrestlers split things going 1-on-1 to get its day underway Saturday.

In the first game, Juniata muscled out a  39-29 victory over Coatesville.

Beginning the scoring at 126, Juniata’s Colton Rowles pinned Elijah Whitaker at 3:09.

At 132, Juniata’s Ryder Smith pinned Megan  Campos at 1:42.

Casey Smith kept things going at 138 picking up a 9-4 decision over Jason Seagreaves.

Things kept rolling into the 145-pound weight class as the Indians’ Taylor Smith pinned Evan Seagreaves by fall at 3:43.

172-pounder Harrison Mummah won by fall over Jack Weldon at 1:33.

At 106, Anthony Maradiaga  pinned over Nicholas DeLuca at 2:44.

Rounding things out at 113, Joey Bomberger pinned Victoria Agatone at 1:37.

In their second match of the day, the Indians fell to a feisty Harrisburg wrestling team topped the Indians by a slim 36-34 contest.

At 138, Taylor Smith won by fall over Jayden Reynolds at 1:11. 

172-pounder Harrison Mummah fall over Rajohn Rodriguez at 1:28.

The Indians jumped back on the scoreboard at 215: Lane Peiper topped Shamar Humphrey by a fall at 4:25.

At 106, Anthony Maradiaga (JUHS) over Kynelle Brown by Fall at 1:32. 

113-pounder Joey Bomberger muscled out a 10-5 decision over Ava Gonzalez. 

At 120, the Indians Colton Rowles won by major over Deyser Perez, 15-7.

Rounding out the scoring at 126, was Ryder Smith picking up a 8-1 decision over Rucker Cash.
