Saturday, the surging Juniata softball team was back in action looking for its ninth win of the season as they hosted Altoona.

Juniata pitching phenom Liz Gaisior not only contribute on the mound throwing a no-hitter but she also shined at the plate with a home run en route to a 3-0 victory.

In the no-no, Gaisior threw a no-no but finished with 19 strikeouts as she is looking to work her way to the 600-strikeout plateau.

Mackenzie Lyter had two hits and a run scored. Shalelyn Armstrong added a hit and Lexi Frontz scored a run for Juniata.

With the weekend win, Juniata improves to 9-1 while Altoona drops to 1-7.

Next game is Monday at East Juniata.
