A little Saturday sizzle for the Juniata girls softball team finished off the week with a 4-0 shut out over West Perry.

Pitcher Liz Gaisior was again her dominating self as she struck out 18 batters Saturday. The 18 on Saturday gave her a 3-game span of  49, putting her at 736 in career strike outs.

She also was hot offensively as well going 2-for-3 from the plate with a walk and an RBI.

Teammate Lexi Frontz had two hits, a walk, with 2 RBIs, Cheyenne Kirk was 2-for-3 with two runs scored, and Shay Armstrong added an RBI single for the Lady Indians.

Next up for Juniata is a contest versus Susquenita at East Juniata in the TVL Semifinals.
