Juniata falls to Halifax in Monday TVL action

Monday was a long day for Juniata baseball, falling to Halifax Area HS 11-1.

The Indians opened up scoring in the first inning, when Grant Reinhold grounded out, scoring one run.

Halifax pulled away for good with two runs in the second inning.  In the second Briar Campbell drew a walk, scoring one run.

Halifax scored eight runs in the fourth inning.  Trent  Strohecker, Schell,  Zahurak, Isaac Miller, and Judah Miller each had RBIs in the big inning.

Jordan Dickinson led things off on the mound for Juniata. The southpaw allowed five hits and six runs over three and two-thirds innings, striking out two.  Daniel Freed threw one inning in relief.

Carson Kepner went 1-for-1 at the plate to lead the Indians in hits.

Halifax tallied ten hits.  Schell, Miller, and Ben Kline each racked up multiple hits for Halifax.  Schell led Halifax with three hits in four at bats.  Halifax was sure-handed in the field and didn’t commit a single error. Cohen Bechtel had the most chances in the field with seven.
