What a win!
The Juniata girls basketball team rolled offensively, taking down fellow TVL foe Halifax 41- 17 Thursday.
Leading the offensive punch for the Indians was Regan Lowrey who netted 11. She was followed by teammate Mariska Beward who notched eight.
Rounding out the top scores for the Lady Indians was Shalelyn Armstrong with seven.
Juniata came out with a stingy defense, holding the Wildcats to just five.
However, Halifax’s defense was just as tough allowing just five for the Indians.
Offensively, Juniata broke open the tie in the second outscoring the Wildcats 10-2 taking a 15-7 advantage going into the intermission.
Things continued to roll for Juniata as the team hit 13 in both the third and fourth quarter en route to the 41-17 victory.
With the win, Juniata improves to 7-4 overall and 5-1 in the TVAA.
Next game for the Indians will be at Upper Dauphin Saturday January 14th.
