MIFFLINTOWN – A very special homecoming!
Alumnus of Juniata high school got a special treat Friday night as their football team rolled over Susquenita 49-7 as Jasper Shepps scored six times en route to the victory.
The Indians opened up the passing lanes as quarterback Wyatt Ehrenzeller went a near perfect 13-15 for 242 yards. Catching seven of those were Jasper Shepps who finished with 148 yards. Shepps also picked off an offering for a touchdown.
He finished off the day with six touchdowns on the night. Teammate Josh Nace posted the other touchdown for Big Red.
Offensively, the Indians posted 21 points in the first quarter and 21 more in the second, taking a 42-0 advantage at the intermission.
Defensively, Juniata got to quarterback Rex Wilson four times on the day.
With the win, the Indians improve to 4-2 on the year.
