In the battle for Juniata County bragging rights, the Juniata boys soccer team defeated East Juniata 3-1.

Like in all cross county battles between the two schools, the game was intense.

Juniata opened to take the lead at 37:18 when Mason Beward thanks to an assist by Anthony Maradiaga.

At 3:06 left, East Juniata tied the game on a Wrett Smith unassisted goal.

The two went into the intermission tied at one.

The Indians took control in the second half.

Juniata, opened the second half scoring at 36:24 when the Indians took the lead on a goal scored by Maradiaga.

At 12:51, Juniata added an insurance goal on another Maradiaga goal. He was assisted by Ricky Guante.

Juniata led in shots on goal by a 15-5 margin and in corners 8-4.
