In a Saturday morning contest, the Juniata boys soccer team came up short in their contest against Susquenita, falling 3-1.
Susquenita hit the first goal of the game at the 32-minute mark.
Juniata bounced back to tie the contest at 27:26 when Anthony Maradiaga.
However, the Blackhawks ended the first half scoring, taking a 2-1 lead.
Susquenita added an insurance goal at 9:12 and held on for the victory.
Juniata led in shots on goal with a 12-9 advantage.
The Indians also led in corner opportunities with a 7-1 mark.
In their second game of the day, the Indians battled Jersey Shore.
It was nip-and-tuck throughout the contest but in the end, Jersey Shore outlasted Juniata 3-2 in an overtime thriller.
After a scoreless first half, Anderson Portzline scored on a penalty kick at 14:40.
The Indians scored again minutes later on a goal by Anthony Maradiaga 9:45.
Back battled the Bulldogs and tied the score at two with two goals in the final five minutes.
In Overtime, Jersey Shore finished the game with a goal at 9:29.
Like in their first contest Juniata led in shots on goals 9-7 and corners 8-2.
