Juniata baseball tops Upper Dauphin in front of home crowd

MIFFLINTOWN – The Juniata Indians baseball team beat Upper Dauphin Area 5-3 on Tuesday.

In the first inning, Juniata got its offense started.  Jerret Condo drove in two when Condo tripled.

The Indians put up three runs in the second inning.  Juniata batters contributing to the big inning included Grant Reinhold and Jordan Dickinson, all sending runners across the plate with RBIs in the inning.

Carson Kepner was on the pitcher’s mound for the Indians. The righthander went six and a third innings, allowing three runs on nine hits and striking out eight.

Louden Sheaffer went 3-for-3 at the plate to lead the Indians in hits.

Upper Dauphin tallied nine hits on the day.
