Juniata baseball loses nail biter to UD

The Juniata Indians baseball team fell behind early and couldn’t come back in a 4-3 loss to Upper Dauphin Area HS on Thursday. Upper Dauphin scored on three doubles in the second inning.

Juniata got things started in the second inning. The Indians  scored one run when Mason Jones singled.

Peterson was on the hill for Upper Dauphin. The hurler allowed six hits and three runs over six innings, striking out eight.

Jordan Dickinson led things off on the hill for Juniata. The lefty lasted five innings, allowing seven hits and four runs while striking out four. Grant Reinhold threw one inning out of the bullpen.

The Indians racked up six hits in the game. Jones, Jerret Condo, and Seth Laub all had multiple hits for Juniata. Laub, Condo, and Jones each collected two hits to lead Juniata. The Indians didn’t commit a single error in the field. Laub had the most chances in the field with seven.
