Starting out the night was East Juniata junior Josef Book in the 60 meter hurdles.  Josef ran a time of 8.72 to place 4th out of 20 athletes in the event.  He also competed in the long jump placing 13th out of 23 athletes with a leap of 18′ 7″.  Next up was Juniata senior Brant Walters in the 60 meter dash.  Brant ran a time of 7.56 to place 12th out of 31 athletes in the event.  Brant also competed later in the 200 meter dash where he ran a time of 24.68 to place 11th out of 27 athletes.  Next up to compete was Juniata sophomore Wyatt Stroup in the 3k race.  Wyatt placed 2nd overall with a personal best time of 9:33.13.  Sixteen athletes took part in the 3k event.  Juniata distance coach Jeff Miller said “All three boys competed well on the night.  For Brant, this was his first ever indoor meet competition.  He walked away with a great experience.  Josef was a little off tonight, but was coming off some stellar performances from last weekend at Susquehanna University.  It was great to see Wyatt run a very smart even paced race tonight in the 3k.  He’s only a sophomore so we have time to gradually work him up to being one of the best distance runners in the state.”
