Jersey Shore track sweeps Milton

The Jersey Shore track and field team took wins on the girls and boys’ side to complete the sweep of Milton Wednesday night.

On the boys side, the Bulldogs won 95-55.

Leading things off for Jersey Shore was the 4×800 relay team that finished in the top spot with a time of 8:41.1.

Nick Bellomo took the top spots in the 110-intermediate hurdles and the 300-meter hurdles with times of 16.6 and 43.7, respectively.  He also took tops in the pole vault with a leap of 19’.

In the 1600-meter run, the Dawgs got a win from Raidan Francis with a time of 4:56.6.

Jersey Shore also took a top place in the 400-meter dash. Peyton Welshans finished with a time of 51.7.

Continuing their winning ways, the Bulldogs took the 4×100-meter relay as well by posting a top time of 52.7.

Rounding out the relays was the successful 4×400-meter relay team that won with a time of 3:36.9.

Peter Bellomo dominated in the field events, winning four first place nods. He took first in the long jump (19’4 1/2”), shot put (49’ 1”), Discus 129’ 5” and Javelin (183’0”).

Rounding out the boys top winners was Max Meyers in the triple jump with a launch of 41’ 6 1/2”.

The girls survived a very close contest, winning 76.5-73.5.

Opening things on the track was the successful 4×800 relay team that finished first with a time of 10:49.7.

Abby Corson won the 200-meter dash and the 100-meter dash with times of 27.1 and 13.3, respectively.

Teammate Anna Sick took the 400 with a top finishing time of 1:05.1.

In the 3200-meter run, Birtukan Haartman  topped out at 13:26.7.

Jersey Shore also took the 4×400 relay event posting a time of 4:28.6.

Peyton Dincher topped the high jump with a jump of 4’ 10”.

Bailee Stroup won the shot put with a throw of 30’ 11”.

Rounding out the Hersey Shore winners on the day was discus thrower Alison Bilbay with a top throw of 96′ 6″.
