Jaylee Lose hit two home runs and drove in seven as Bellefonte defeated Bellwood-Antis Varsity 15-5 on Monday. Lose homered in the second and first innings.

A home run to center field by Lose put Bellefonte on the board in the bottom of the first.

Lose hit a grand slam to center field in the bottom of the second for the Lady Raiders.

Karlie Sweigert homered to center field, scoring three runs in the top of the third for the Blue Devils.

Bellefonte scored six runs on three hits in the bottom of the third inning. Sloan Moore singled, scoring one run, Alaina  Smith singled, scoring one run, an error scored two runs, and Ragan Manning homered to right field, scoring two runs.

The Lady Raiders scored two runs in the bottom of the fifth on a home run to center field by Taylor Brown.

Smith led things off in the circle for Bellefonte. The starting pitcher gave up four hits and three runs over four innings, striking out three and walking one. Palynn Gregg started the game for Bellwood-Antis. The pitcher allowed 12 hits and 15 runs over four innings, striking out six and walking five. Ryleigh Parette appeared in relief for the Lady Raiders.

Bellefonte accumulated 12 hits in the game. Brown, Smith, Lose, Manning, and Moore each collected two hits for the Lady Raiders. Bellefonte  had a strong eye at the plate, accumulating five walks for the game.

Number nine hitter, Hayden Taylor, showed the depth of Bellwood-Antis’ lineup, by leading them with two hits in two at bats. Sweigert led the Blue Devils with three runs batted in. The second baseman went 1-for-2 on the day.

Bellefonte will travel to Hollidaysburg Varsity Softball for their next game on Wednesday.
