“We are just going to continue to work and stay focused our defense came up big for us and that’s something,” said Brandon Kauffman. “We can bring with us next week against Lower Dauphin.

Mifflin County was stout on defense. Adan Daubert had a sack in the first half and his success carried into the second half. Gavin Herrington and Jarren Kenny were also a force to be reckoned with on the defensive end.

“I’m very proud of our kids played tonight. Our defense stuffed them four times. They have a good program and great coaches and players,” said Mifflin County head coach Shane Breon. “It was nice to have a clean game tonight. I’m just proud of our kids. We have a tall task next week at Lower Dauphin. We’ve got to put in the work. Our work is cut out for us. Brandon Kauffman ran the ball well tonight. We had enough scores to get past them.”

Waynesboro were led by Kean Baumgardner. he was the focal point of the offense he was also part of a drive we he had four straight carries and a one handed catch but Baumgardner would be stopped by a host of Huskies at the Mifflin County one yard line for a turn over on downs.

Mifflin County’s defensive effort would pay dividends. Dodger Weaver would pick Rayshawn Hewitt off and return it for 12 yards. That’s what ultimately would lead the Huskies over the Indians on a night where the Huskies defense showed up allowing only six points.

Mifflin County will play Lower Dauphin next Saturday at Hershey Park Stadium.
