Huskies fall to Chambersburg in baseball action

The Mifflin County Huskies baseball team fell behind early and couldn’t come back in a 13-2 loss to Chambersburg on Thursday.

The Huskies struggled to contain the high-powered offense of Chambersburg, giving up 13 runs.

In the bottom of the first inning, Mifflin County tied things up at one when Xavier Smith hit a solo homer.

Chambersburg pulled away for good with five runs in the second inning.

Aidan Reed took the loss for the Huskies Varsity. The pitcher went two innings, allowing six runs on three hits and walking one.

The Huskies socked one home run on the day. Smith went deep in the first inning.

Smith went 2-for-3 at the plate to lead Mifflin County in hits.
