Huntingdon 50, Mount Union 13

MOUNT UNION — Mount Union struggled to get going offensively in its 50-13 loss to rival Huntingdon during an Inter County Conference girls basketball game Tuesday night.

The Bearcats were led by the dynamic duo of Lily Fiscus and Lily Borger who each scored more points individually than Mount Union had as a team with Fiscus scoring 18 points with 13 of those points came during the second period.

Borger had 15 points on the night for Huntingdon, having scored eight of those points during the third quarter of the game.

Offensively, the Trojans struggled to get their shots to fall throughout the game, having scoring no more than four points in a quarter. The Trojans were led by Cailyn Skopic and Abbey Broadbeck who each scored four points for the night.

The Huntingdon defense was a major factor in the game, forcing the Trojans into committing turnovers and which the Bearcats took advantage and turned them into fastbreak buckets.

Mount Union (1-2) hosts West Branch on Monday.
