Sierra Albright #27, began her high school pitching career as a freshman for the Bald Eagle Area High School under Coach Don Lucas. In her first year, she had 191 strike outs. Her team won the District 6 championship but lost in the PIAA State Semi-Finals that year. Sierra was named first team Mountain League, District 6, and State.
In her sophomore year, she set out to break the single season county strikeout record of 224. She racked up 270 by the end of the season. Her team won the District 6 championship and took second place in the PIAA State Championship Game. Sierra was named first team for league, district, and state.
In her junior year, she earned 267 strikeouts. Her team won the District 6 championship but lost in the PIAA State Semi-final game. Sierra was named first team for league, district, and state.
So far in her senior year, which isn’t over yet, she broke the career strikeout record of 792 and career win record of 74. As of this writing, her team won the District 6 championship and starts their state bid on Monday, June 2, 2025. Her stats this year up into the district championship game include, 4 no-hitters, 231 strikeouts, 13 shutouts, and 14 games with double digit strikeouts. Her career wins are at 78 and career strikeouts are at 976.
Sierra plans on attending Fairleigh Dickinson in the fall to play softball and major in accounting.
