The Bellefonte girls softball team got back into action Tuesday battling Clearfield.

Though the Red Raiders were at home, the Bison played the role of unwelcomed guest, coming out the winner of a nail biting 4-3 Mountain League victory.

Clearfield pitching phenom Emma Hipps notched the win as she went the distance, allowing five hits, three earned runs while striking out 10.

Bellefonte’s hurler Josselyn Nau took the loss as she also went the distance, allowing eight hits, four earned runs and a strike out.

Despite the loss Bellefonte got strong offensive showing from Taylor Brown (2-2, HR, RBI, 2R), Josselyn Nau (2-3, 2B, 2RBI), Emma Shawley (1-3).

Top Hitters for Clearfield were Ruby Singleton (2-4, HR, 2B, RBI, 1R), Emma Hipps (2-3, 2B, 3B, 2RBI) and Lauren Ressler (1-3, RBI)
