For the second straight week, NC State dropped its first match, but bounced back en route to a big win.

In front of 2,257 fans on Military Appreciation Night, the No. 5 Wolfpack improved to 10-0 with another convincing win, this time defeating Army 30-6.

The contest against the Black Knights was the final non-conference match for NC State, who will travel to No. 9 Virginia Tech next weekend.

The Pack won five in a row after the 125 opener, building a 17-3 advantage.

The streak included two major decisions. In the 133 class, No. 25 Kai Orine defeated Richard Treanor, 12-1 and No. 7 Ed Scott took down Nate Lukez, 14-3.

After Derek Fields edged Dalton Harkins, 3-2, Army got back on the board with a 11-4 win by No. 21 Ben Pasiuk over Alex Faison.

NC State got the momentum back in the 184 class, with another major decision when Trent Hidlay knocked off Sahm Abdulrazzaq, 13-5. Isaac Trumble made it two straight majors with a 8-0 win over Kyle Swartz. The sophomore from Springfield, Neb. got off to a good start, accumulating 2:23.3 minutes of riding time in the opening period.

Owen Trephan wrapped up the evening for NC State with a 22-7 technical fall win over Kade Carlson. It was his second technical fall of the season. Trephan has been on a roll with the tech fall coming on the heels of a major decision win last week, his second in three matches.

The Pack concludes the non-conference portion of the season, outscoring opponents 200-37, including a 92-21 advantage at Reynolds Coliseum.
