REEDSVILLE – This week is a special week at the MIfflin County Airport as the runway has been taken over by gliders. The group is competing in a National competition for this week up until next Thursday.
Each day, the group of Gliders participating in Nationals compete all week on a 151.3 miles course.
This year, the group had to have over 20-plus different type gliders from long winged to short winged as they shut down the airport to allow the gliders to take off.
Usual take off time for the group has been around 12:00-1:00, depending on the weather.
