Bald Eagle Area Varsity Eagles fell to Jersey Shore 7-6 on Saturday on the final play of the game. The game was tied at six in the bottom of the eighth when J Stellfox singled, scoring one run.

Jersey Shore rallied for the victory despite trailing 6-0 in the sixth.

Bald Eagle Area Varsity Eagles got on the board in the top of the fifth inning after Kendra Uberti singled, and Jersey Shore committed an error, each scoring one run.

Four more Bald Eagle Area Varsity Eagles runs crossed the plate in the sixth inning to extend the lead to 6-0. Sydney Thompson doubled, scoring one run, and Taylor Habovick hit an inside the park home run, scoring three runs.

Jersey Shore tied the game in the bottom of the seventh thanks to a double by L Clark, and a single by E Pfirman.

Sierra Albright started in the circle for Bald Eagle Area Varsity Eagles. The starting pitcher gave up nine hits and seven runs (five earned) over seven innings, striking out 10 and walking six. I Engel started in the circle for Jersey Shore. The starting pitcher allowed eight hits and six runs (five earned) over eight innings, striking out six and walking one.

Habovick seized on their opportunities, leading Bald Eagle Area Varsity Eagles with three runs batted in from the number seven spot in the lineup. The switch hitter went 2-for-3 on the day. Kailey Eckert and Habovick each collected two hits for Bald Eagle Area Varsity Eagles. Addicyn Burnc and Habovick

each stole multiple bases for Bald Eagle Area Varsity Eagles. Bald Eagle Area Varsity Eagles stole six bases in the game.

Clark led Jersey Shore with three runs batted in. They went 3-for-3 on the day. Stellfox and D Miller each collected multiple hits for Jersey Shore. Jersey Shore had a strong eye at the plate, accumulating six walks for the game.
