The Juniata softball team led by pitching phenom Liz Gaisior picked up from where they left off from last season, picking up a strong effort on the mound from Gaisior.
The veteran pitcher struck out 16 en route to a three-hit shut out over Selinsgrove Wednesday, winning 8-0.
Leading the offense for the Lady Indians was Lexi Frontz who went 3-for-4 on the night. Savannah Marshall and Regan Lowrey each blasted homeruns.
Gaisior, Shalelyn Armstrong, and Ava Lauver also added hits for Juniata.
Juniata’s Record is 1-0 while Selinsgrove dropps to 0-3.
