In a great Tuesday night field hockey game, State College came out on top. State College executed a strong possession game, with a balanced attack, and a strong defense. Four different State College players scored, including Joelle Bartlett (Q1), Maddy Shomo (Q2), Ella Tambroni (Q3), and Emily Stapleton (Q3). Four additional State College players (Hanna Garlin, Ella Tambroni, Lanie Herlocher, and Lilly Shaha) were awarded assists. Jordyn Noll notched an unassisted goal late in the fourth period for Cedar Cliffs sole score. This was also a night of “firsts” for State College as Tambroni, Stapleton, and Shaha recorded their first varsity penalty stroke score, varsity goal, and varsity assist, respectively.

Next game State College visits Carlisle Area HS in Carlisle, Wednesday October 5, JV 5:30 PM, Varsity 4:00 PM.
