Despite the battling the elements Thursday, the Bellefonte girls softball team trudged through their contest with Hollidaysburg, notching a convincing 11-4 victory.

Picking up the win was Carley Clarkson as she improved to 1-0. She went five innings, giving up five hits while striking out four.

Alaina Smith  came into finish things off for the Lady Raiders as she threw two innings of one hit ball while striking out one.

The Golden Tigers pitcher Olivia Vincent took the loss going the distance, allowing eight hits and 11th a to go with six strike outs.

Top Hitters for Bellefonte were Sienna Barnhart (2-3, HR, 3R, 2RBI), Grace Novitsky (2-4, 2R, 2RBI) and Taylor Brown (2-4, 2B)

Bellefonte is 2-1 (2-1 Mountain League).
