The East Juniata track and field team went up against Tri-Valley League foe Greenwood Thursday.
It was a close battle on the boys side as the Wildcats topped the Tigers 76-65 while the girls fell 112-28.
Rowan Smith had a strong day on both the track and field events, placing first in three events.
Smith took top honors in the 110-meter hurdles with a time of 16.5. He also finished first in the 300-meter hurdles with a mark of 43.02.
He also took the high jump with a leap of 5’6”.
Connor Hicks also helped East Juniata in the 400-meter run as he finished first with a time of 56.53.
Hicks also placed first in the 200-meter run with a finishing time of 25.69.
Rounding out the running events was Logan Strawser’s win in the 3200-meter run with a time of 11.13.
East Juniata also took the 1600-meter relay with a time of 3:51.75.
Nate Freed took the Javelin for the Tigers with a throw of 126’ 3 1/2”.
Leading the way for East Juniata on the girls’ side was Andrea Bear in the 100-meter run with a time of 14.4.
Addy Feltman finished first in the 400-meter with a time of 1:07 and a second place in the 800-meter run with a finishing time of 2:57.
Rylee Hoy notched a first place finish in the discus with a throw of 64’9”.
