East Juniata 53, Forbes Road 30

COCOLAMUS — East Juniata used all phases of the game to help carry itself over Forbes Road 53-30 in a boys basketball game on Friday night.

A big reason for the success for the Tigers was senior Dylan Wagner who was controlling the paint on both sides of the floor. Wagner got going offensively during the second quarter of the game, scoring seven of the 15 points scored in the period. Wagner ended up with a total of 14 points.

The East Juniata offense kept the ball moving and not allowing the Forbes Road defense any chances to get into position which created a number of open looks for the Tigers to attack.

Offensively the Tigers scored in double digits for three of the four quarters of the game. Jake Brackbill and Dontae Martin each added nine points for the evening.

Defensively, East Juniata refused to allow the Cardinals any chances to fly, keeping them grounded and forcing turnovers.

The Tigers also got contributions from their bench as well with players Caden Geedy, Sammy Kopacki, Nate Freed, Clark Ritzman, Walker Stutts and Jack Hoffman.

East Juniata remains unbeaten at (3-0) and will hosts Midd-West on Saturday.
