The Mifflin County will host its first home game of the season when the Huskies welcome in the Wildcats of Mechanicsburg kickoff is slated for 7:00 at Mitchell Field.

Mifflin County will look to rebound after coming off a brutal loss to Northern last Friday where Mifflin County was ahead 27-7 in the third quarter the Huskies watched that lead fade and ended up losing to the Polar Bears 41-34 in double overtime in a stunning loss.
Meanwhile, Mechanicsburg is unbeaten in their first two games with wins over Carlisle and Palmyra. The Wildcats comfortably handled Carlisle 34-6 in their season opener.Mechanicsburg would go on to beat the Cougars of Palmyra 35-14 in week two.

The Wildcats Senior quarterback Eli Reider has been sensational in his first two games Reider threw for 186 yards in week one completing 15/21 in week two the Reider threw for 236 yards completing 11/13. He will be a key factor in this game against the Huskies.Reider is a multi sport athlete he is an outfielder for his school’s baseball team as well so it clearly shows he has an arm mixed with talent.
Mechanicsburg didn’t run the football a lot last week the Wildcats only totaled 72 yards on the ground the production of the run game was led by Isaac Dollman rushing for 59 yards on 9 carries.
The Wildcats have explosive receivers Josh Smith led the team in receiving last week racking up 171 yards scoring four times Smith has 228 total receiving yards the Senior receiver is top 3 in Division AAAAA he’s the number one receiver in Mid-Penn Keystone he sits top 4 in the PIAA District 3 in Pennsylvania Smith is ranked 19 272 nationally so he’s a key piece to this offense.
On Defense, the Wildcats haven’t given many of their opponents very many scoring opportunities.
The Huskies have had a few players light up the stat books this season despite being 1-1 Cyrell Green has totaled 155 total receiving yards in his first two games with six receptions.
