HERSHEY- The State College wrestlers started that night off on a positive note as two of their matmen still have their eyes on the covenant prize while one is still fighting in consolations but all did survive.

The Little Lions put Nicolas Berrena at task first he would trail early 3-0 with a takedown from Gettysburg’s Isaiah Jackson but Berrena wouldn’t go down without a fight as he would get a takedown of his own to tie things up at three.

Jackson would respond with an escape to make it 4-3 Jackson would eventually get the win 5-4.

State College James Whitbred (16-3) would challenge Gettysburg’s  Caden Shearer (28-13). Shearer would grab the early takedown but Whitbred would respond with an escape before time would expire. Whitbread would get another takedown to change to complexion of the match. it would definitely work in his favor as Whitbread would get the win as he added some more points to earn a 10-8 win.

Asher Cunningham would be nothing but pure dominance as he won in a commanding win by earning the technical fall. Experts have him favored to win it all.

State College will look to continue their dominance into Friday.
