LEWISTOWN – As the final days of July dwindles and August gets its time to take center stage, the transition will be starting to take place in Highland Park. Christmas will be coming early for the local sports enthusiasts.

Let the memories begin!

The hottest month of the year will become even hotter as the moment that local sports fans have been dreaming of for years will finally be upon us.

After a successful final last year at Mitchell Field. The gates have been closed and it’s going to be a dawning of a new day as the gates will swing open on the Huskies new sports complex. Highlighting it will be the opening contest at the highly awaited Kish Bank Field and Donald Chapman III Stadium.

Also opening will be the Marcal Paper Field the field will be also used and will be adding to the school’s new chapter in their sports history.

The town has been abuzz with the anticipation of the Huskies first home football game against Central Mountain.

It will be the dawning of a new day as the school will be laying the foundation for new memories to be made and new sports legends to rise.

The Huskies will open their season on Friday August 22nd at 7:00.

Fans of all ages are expected to attend one of the biggest sporting events in local sports history.

As the countdown begins the anticipation will be growing at a fever pitch.

An anticipation not usually seen except for a child awaiting their visit from Santa at Christmas.

August 22nd will be the present that the local fans, parents and athletes have been waiting for, for under their tree. Giving them their Christmas wishes coming four months early.
